Flower Arrangement Fundamentals

Explore upcoming sessions

What does the program cover?

Module 01

Colour Theory and Seasonal Blooms

You'll learn how to select flowers based on their natural compatibility and seasonal availability. This module addresses the most common mistake beginners make: combining blooms that compete rather than complement.

Module 02

Structural Techniques and Balance

Practical sessions focus on hand-tying, grid construction, and foam-free mechanics. Each technique is demonstrated with real stems, showing how to achieve stability without relying on excessive materials.

Module 03

Container Selection and Proportion

Understanding the relationship between vessel and arrangement changes how you approach every design. This module provides a framework for choosing containers that enhance rather than limit your creative choices.

Module 04

Conditioning and Longevity

Proper stem preparation extends arrangement life by several days. You'll work through conditioning methods for different flower types, learning which cuts, treatments, and water solutions actually make a measurable difference.

How the program runs

Sessions take place live every Tuesday evening at 7:30 PM AEDT.

Each session lasts 68 minutes and includes a demonstration followed by participant questions. You'll need basic tools: sharp scissors, a clean vase, and access to fresh stems from a local supplier or garden. Recordings are available for 14 days after each session, allowing you to revisit techniques at your own pace. The program runs for six weeks, with one module delivered per session and two sessions dedicated to live practice reviews.

Participants join from across Australia, creating a small community of learners who share progress and troubleshoot challenges together. Enrolment is limited to 22 participants per cohort to maintain interaction quality and ensure everyone receives individual feedback during live sessions.
